The short version: the Hide & Keep app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. At all.

What the app collects

Nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no servers. We cannot see your videos, your edits, or anything else — the app has nothing to send and nowhere to send it.

This website

The website (not the app) uses PostHog analytics to count visits and see which parts of the page get used — cookieless, with session recording turned off. The app itself contains no analytics of any kind.

The waitlist on this website

If you join the waitlist, we store what you typed — an email address or phone number — plus the IP address and browser signature the signup came from, which we use only to filter out spam. Your contact gets used exactly once, to tell you the app is out. No newsletters, no marketing, nothing shared with anyone. Want off before then? Email us and we'll delete it.

How your videos are handled

Videos you edit are processed entirely on your device and never leave it. The app accesses your photo library only to open videos you choose and to save the results. Exported videos have location metadata removed.

Purchases (if we ever add them)

Any future in-app purchases would be handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We would not receive or store your payment information.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Given how the app is built, there isn't much room for it to change.
